Decrypting hidden meanings in a sermon

What a wonderful web our tax-collector has woven with the sermon of Rabbi Jesus. Perhaps a better analogy to describe our process of discovering the many mysteries hidden in this monologue would be like peeling an onion.

Beginning by unwrapping the 666s we uncover two 777s and when we investigate the 777s we then discover two new numbers in one verse: the soul (555) and the body (444) in 6:25. The first two words are heavens (777) in 7:11 and house (777) in 7:25.

One device used to great effect is restarting the numbering by a cue indicating a change of subject. More detail results as more levels are added and ultimately seven levels are able to generate six 666s. Labelling these from #333 to #999 is most informative in our search.

It is beyond the scope of this posting to parse the relationship of all these words so let us investigate a word used twice in the Greek Testament: the noun "the fall" (Matthew 7:27 and Luke 2:34).

Since this is the story about two houses of two men and the great fall of one of them, we notice the noun "rain" is exclusive to Matthew. Another is the verb "to be founded." The verb "to build" is the compound of "house" and "roof" and intensifies the description.

The feminine noun "house" appears twenty-three times (seven times in the dative) and twice a derivation in the masculine plural is used by Matthew exclusively, bringing the total to 25. Of these, five are in the sermon, alternating dative/accusative.

The noun meaning "husband" is used for both the mindful man (ἀνδρὶ φρονίμῳ) and foolish man (ἀνδρὶ μωρῷ). The numbers of both men are similar: the mindful man is 588 in #888 and the foolish man is 988 in #666 (see table). The verb "to house-roof" also shares numbers: the mindful is 755 in #777 and the foolish is 1055 in #555 (notice the flanking numbers in the same row).

The foundations of the houses are the Rock and the Sand. Matthew's "sand" is 644 in #888. His "rock" is book word 3544 and 1866 in #333 (neither are shown). Absent is the verb "it was founded" which is 1888 in #333. Only twice in the Greek Testament is the noun "rain" (599 in #888, 999 in #666). Each house-word is used twice for each man. The summing up of the mindful man's house is 777 in #777 and the foolish man's house is 1077 in #555. [Absent is the Winds, book word 3555 and 655 in #888.]

Focusing now on "the fall" (ἡ πτῶσις), the definite article is 666 in #888 (shown), and the noun is 577 in #999 (not shown). If anyone doubts the significance of this, consider that this is the sixth of six 666s and the correlation between the numbers of the foolish man: "fall" is 577 and "house" is 1077 in #555.

Winnowing for 666s in the monologue uncovered two 777s: heavens as 777 in #555 (7:11); and house as 777 in #777 (7:25 has 25 words). Doing the same for 777s produced two more in 6:25. Our next study will be of the Soul (555) and the Body (444).
