What Lord shares with God in the sermon

LORD is the six hundred sixty sixth word of the Greek Testament. Matthew writes 700 words that includes the verse revealing who the number 666 is said to be in Revelation 13:18. There are 40 words in 2:13, and the sixth is LORD. GOD is used six times in the sermon. Matthew's elegant symmetry precludes any number other than 666.

This distinction is exclusive to the Numeric Greek New Testament published by Ivan Panin in a 1934 Oxford edition. He established that "God" is used in 6:8 and not 6:33 (ambiguous in the NRSV). Therefore, it emphasizes and amplifies the prayer's first word in the following verse ("Father!"). The prayers of "the nations" (6:7) are empty if they do not invoke "the God the father" (6:8), "the one in the heavens" (6:9). Monotheism trumps paganism!

Six verses include "God" (5:8, 5:9, 5:34, 6:8, 6:24, 6:30) and only the ones in chapter six are counted by significant numbers. The pure ones in the heart shall see τὸν θεὸν (5:8). The peace-makers shall be called sons θεοῦ (5:9). In the heaven is a throne of τοῦ θεοῦ (5:34).

In Revelation 13:18, the three numbers to calculate the number of a man are 600 (ἑξακόσιοι), 60 (ἑξήκοντα) and 6 (ἕξ). In Matthew's sixth chapter, "God" is counted in four columns by shifts in subject matter (new subject, new column). In 6:8, ὁ θεὸς is word 60 in the middle column of seven (666). The next θεῷ is in 6:24 and is counted twice: 1266 in the first column (333) and 160 (777). In 6:30, each word of "the God | ὁ θεὸς" is numbered: 666 (444) and 1388 (333). Eights are significant because the numeric value of the six letters of the Greek name of Jesus is 888.

If God is used six times, then the sixth will be 666. That truism is more and more obvious as patterns of numbers accumulate. What dictates every word and its placement are the hidden numbers behind them.

What produces these patterns is the six shifts of subject to start a new column. That first shift began with sermon word 722 in 5:44 (note the affinity of the verse number and the column it started that will generate 666 for the sixth "God"). That is proof of design!

Symmetry in the opening style of the seven columns of the sermon's subjects is also evident. The arrangement is ordered by pairs before and after the central "amen" trio at 6:2, 6:5 and 6:16. Hypocrites are the subjects of these indictments and again six times in chapter 23 (identified as the "scribes and Pharisees").

The spine that supports these seven levels in the sermon is the book numbers. The first 666 is "LORD" as the sixth word of 2:13. "Him" is the next as book word 1666 in 5:1 ("they came to him the disciples of him | προσῆλθαν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ"). The third is "you | ὑμᾶς" (plural, the seventh in the book) and is word 70 (666) which is in the verse (6:8) that Ivan Panin places "God" that is doubtful in 6:33.

If you still doubt that LORD God Jesus is 666, then consider a trio of words in the middle of the book: "God," "him" and "mouth." In 15:3 book word 8666 is "God | θεοῦ"); book word 7666 in 13:36 is "him" ("the disciples of him | οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ"); and the head of the trio is "mouth" in 12:34 which is book word 6666 ("of the heart, the mouth speaks | τῆς καρδίας, τὸ στόμα λαλεῖ"). And it is this "mouth" that Rabbi Jesus "opened" for 1,940 words in three chapters.

Finally, the tax-collector Matthew confirms all that we have shown above is precisely what he designed to be "established" by a man like Ivan Panin. In 26:56, the last two nouns that are numbered with the triple-six are "writings" (16660) and "disciples" (16666).

"LORD" is the first book word numbered 666. The sixth last time Matthew uses the noun "disciples" is the 66th, which is book word 16666. This pattern is firmly established, from beginning to end.
